A food industry leader for more than 35 years, John Blazevich has supported the Los Angeles community through philanthropy, including contributions to the Grand Vision Foundation’s fund-raising efforts to renovate and preserve the Warner Grand Theater. In recognition of his continued support and generosity, John Blazevich was granted the Founder’s Circle Award at the Grand Chair Affair in 2005.

The Grand Vision Foundation hosted the Grand Chair Affair to recognize individuals and their support of the Warner Grand Theatre restoration project. Other awardees included councilwoman Janice Hahn (presented with the Community Leadership Award) and Nick Tonsich (presented with the Man of the Year Award) on behalf of the port of Los Angeles.

Since the establishment of Grand Vision in 1996, more than $4 million has been contributed toward the restoration of the theatre, as well as its promotion and some production efforts. Grand Vision also established a separate performance venue called the Grand Annex in 2008, and formed an educational arm in 2009 named Meet the Music.
